The artistic intervention in the public space in Litomyšl called WE 100 is designed for a specific place in Litomyšl and in terms of its idea relates to the celebration of the centenary of the founding of our republic. We see the name as a metaphor for the word nation. Symbolically the artistic intervention refers to the deeper connections of perceptions of national identity and the relationship between the individual, their role and society. It is a tribute to all the cultural activities which regularly take place in this space. It reshape space for encounters between people and sends signals for their understanding. In celebration it proclaims: We are proud of our nation and we are part of a larger whole. The installation by Václav Cigler and Michal Motyčka sets up a mirror surface for objects, define space with light and metal lines and elementary geometrical shapes complement the water surface. Always at the same time thinking of the audience, for whom they prepare a variety of spatial and lighting situations to reshape everyday life. Water, like light and the tricolour are, for the authors, carriers of a symbolic significance and at the same time expressive means.
