For the 140th birthday of the world-acclaimed Czech signer Emmy Destinn the National Theatre Opera has prepared an exhibition commemorating her life and remarkable artistic career. The exhibition is made up of many unique pictures and printed material from the private collection from the head of the National Theatre’s head of the costume production department Aleš Frýba. The co-author is the programme director of the National Theatre Opera Blachut.

The premiere of the exhibition took place in the spring of this year in the historic building of the National Theatre in Prague. During the period of the Smetana’s Litomyšl National Festival the public will have an exceptional chance to see the exhibition in the Birth Apartment of Bedřich Smetana. This Litomyšl repeat is taking place with the cooperation of the National Theatre Opera, Smetanova Litomyšl, o. p. s. and the Regional Museum in Litomyšl.
