A cycle of thematic architectural walks organised for the third year by the Litomyšl Municipal Gallery, highlighting significant Litomyšl buildings, public areas and artworks in public spaces. What awaits you however is not a dull lecture on architecture and art; rather you can look forward to a pleasant walk, which will uncover interesting facts about buildings and places that you might walk past daily, during which we will visit normally inaccessible interiors and viewpoints offering an untraditional perspective on the town.
This year’s cycle is already in full flow. After walks of the theme of Litomyšl’s Builders (March), Official Litomyšl (April) and Gardening Litomyšl (May) in June it will focus on industrial buildings in the vicinity of the railway premises. During September’s walks we will deal with the themes of housing and the phenomenon of groups of structures. The last, October walk carries the title Sacred Litomyšl and will take visitors around Litomyšl’s cemeteries.
