Representative exhibition marking the 140th anniversary of the birth of this important artist who married Ela Vejrychová in Litomyšl in 1900. This personal event was followed by Švabinský's important artistic period associated with the nearby village of Kozlov. This is where he regularly visited his wife in the period between 1900 and 1919. The scenic beauty and character of life in the region became his great inspiration. The collection of paintings presented in this exhibition, mainly on loan from the National Gallery in Prague and many private collectors, documents the exceptional character of this period.

The project is also unique for connecting Švabinský's exhibitions in Litomyšl, in Česká Třebová and Švabinský's cottage in Kozlov.
