An exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the most important Czech painters of the second half of the 20th century. Václav Boštík was born on 6 November 1913 in Horní Újezd near Litomyšl into the family of the local miller and occasional painter Václav Boštík. He was connected with Litomyšl until the end of his life working here as one of the famous four restorers who helped with the renovation of graffiti on the Litomyšl castle in the 1970s and 1980s. His brilliant work will be presented in the new light and in the new space of the Castle riding hall into which architects Petr Hájek, Tomáš Hradečný and Jan Šépka incorporated a modern structure, a transparent amber chamber which will shine together with Boštík's paintings as one of the first elements of the gradually transforming Castle Hill.
