Sergej Iščuk is a world traveler, an artist creating sovereign paintings and a great colourist. He has deep roots in the Don Cossacks, and after various ups and downs in life has found a second home here – in Litomyšl.
Women have always played a significant role in the life of Sergej Iščuk, for good or ill. As he has caught them on canvas however they are gentle and dreamy, full of stories behind them.
Iščuk – in his native language ‘seeker’ – is in this exhibition trying to find a symbolic interweaving of these two favourite worlds.
