A cycle of thematic architectural walks organised for the third year by the Litomyšl Municipal Gallery, highlighting significant Litomyšl buildings, public areas and artworks in public spaces. What awaits you however is not a dull lecture on architecture and art; rather you can look forward to a pleasant walk, which will uncover interesting facts about buildings and places that you might walk past daily, during which we will visit normally inaccessible interiors and viewpoints offering an untraditional perspective on the town.
After a walk on the theme of Leisuretime in Litomyšl (March), Litomyšl Schools (April) and Litomyšl Health (May) in June the focus will be on the theme of housing and introduce private residential buildings in the so-called Fügner district behoind the Sokolovna. September's walk will take visitors past sepulchral monuments related to the events of the war. The last, October, walk is called Fractured Litomyšl and will be devoted to the brutal urban and architectural interventions from the second half of the 20th century, which dealt ancient Litomysl several painful blows.
