The exhibition of the photographer Rostislav Bartoň and the sculptor Jiří Janočko is linked by the mysticism which often occurs in their works. The author created thee sculptures directly for the Portmoneum. He drew his inspiration from the place and Váchal’s works. The exhibition also continues in the garden. Here there arises for the whole season a new statue, literally conjoined with this place, created from the trunk of a forest pine, which was still growing this spring. The atmosphere is enhanced not only by the photographs of Šumava, but also of the Eagle Mountains, where the photographer Rostislav Bartoň comes from. He captures the landscape all year round, at every time of the day. You can appreciate the exhibition with all your senses – you can touch most of the sculptures, the odour of wood scents the hall and the tick of the hours on the rune clock will employ your ears. The sensation of magic against the background of the history of the house with Váchal’s paintings is perfect!
